Then take the APP number to the RMS (old RTA Office and get the check). It doesn't cost anything and only takes a few minutes for them to process once you get to the counter. We thank you for your support as this is an important measure to ensure we keep our children safe. <uploaded 16/04/2015>
For Minis and Mods There are a number of changes to the Laws of the Modified Games ages (6 – 12 years) for Season 2015, outlined in the Modified Games Changes – 2015 document, see link below. Go to http://www.playnrl.com/changes-to-modified-games-laws/ So, if you are a coach, player, referee, trainer or club administrator, check out the changes. Just so you are aware, the changes include:
No scrums – 6 to 12 year age groups
Tap kick re-start to the non-scoring team after a try as been scored – 6 to 12 year age groups
Zero tackle – to be applied at all ages the same as the International Game
No Conversion attempts – 6 and 7 years only
Chances (for Knock-on and forward pass) in the Under 6’s only
Two Pass Variation – Mod League only
Mod League - Law 13 (First Receiver and Dummy Half)
The league stresses this rule - competition points can be deducted if it is not adhered to.
The player at First Receiver (FR) will be identified with a vest or armband of one colour, and a player at Acting Halfback (dummy half - DH) will be identified with a vest/armband of another colour.
Both players must swap with 2 different players at half time otherwise competition points will be deducted. They cannot simply swap with each other, they must swap with 2 different players.
Team managers need to note on team sheets who the players are performing that role eg: DH1 and FR1 next to the name of players who perform that role in the 1st half and DH2 and FR2 for players who perform that role in the 2nd half.
Any player who performs DH or FR in the 1st half cannot perform either of these roles in the 2nd half, the vests have to go to 2 different players.
Again a reminder, if these rules aren’t followed correctly teams will be stripped of their 2 competition points.
